Mammograms are a special type of test that is given to people who have breasts. But it’s important to note that mammograms usually aren’t given to people until they’re around 40 years old. Mammograms are sometimes performed on people who are younger than 40 if they have a high risk of breast cancer in their family.
Teen Clinic does not offer mammograms, but Boulder Valley Women’s Health Center can give you referrals if needed. If you think you need a mammogram or have additional questions, call Boulder Valley Women’s Health Center at 303-442-5160 or call your regular doctor.
