How do I know which birth control method is for me?

That is a great question!

We would recommend making an appointment with a medical provider to discuss birth control methods.  Your provider will ask you some questions about your health history, go over the different methods with you and you will decide together which method is best for you.

If you are interested in The Pill, or Nuva Ring, or The Depo Shot there’s a good chance you can leave the clinic with your method.

If you decide you are interested in a more long term method like an IUD or a Nexplanon, we can schedule you another appointment to get that method.

If someone has insurance or is on their parent’s insurance plan and feel comfortable using it, they can! But if someone does not feel comfortable, we also have a Teen Clinic sliding scale.

If you are 17 and under:

  • You can receive services at no cost or donation basis! Donations are encouraged if possible, so we can continue providing low cost services to our patients.

If you are 18 or 19:

  • You can receive services at a donation basis or at a low-cost. Most services will slide down to $0, but some services will be $5-50 based on your income. Again, donations are encouraged if possible.
