….. I used protection and everything but I’m still terrified of that chance. How long should I wait to take a pregnancy test?
When used correctly, condoms can reduce the risk of pregnancy (and STIs!) up to 98%. You can read about all the ways to use a condom correctly here.
It is also encouraged to a use a form of birth control to help reduce the risk of pregnancy. If you are not currently on a form of birth control you can look at the different options here.
The earliest that someone can take a pregnancy test and get an accurate result is 14 days after the sexual contact.
If you want to make an appointment with us to talk about or start a form of birth control you can give Teen Clinic a call at 303-442-5160
