I’ve been on the pill for around 2 years now but my boyfriend is worried about ejaculating inside. Am I protected from pregnancy if he does ejaculate?

Great question!

It is important to know there is always a risk of pregnancy when sperm comes into contact with the vagina, but being on a form of birth control can reduce this risk!

If you have been taking the birth control pill  correctly and consistently, (at the same time every day, without forgetting or missing a pill) they are up to 99% protected from pregnancy, even if ejaculation in the vagina occurs.

Remember, hormonal forms of birth control, do not reduce the risk of STIs. Only condoms and dental dams can reduce the risk of STIs!
