…and I’m on the pill. We don’t plan on using a condom, since I am on birth control, but I would still like to know the chances of pregnancy if he ejaculates inside me.
The birth control pill is 92-99% effective in reducing the risk of pregnancy if it’s taken correctly. So if you are taking it at the same time every day and you’re not missing any pills, pregnancy will be unlikely. But remember that the only way to prevent pregnancy 100%, is to practice abstinence.
So even if your boyfriend ejaculates inside of you and you’re using the pill, you’ll be up to 99% protected from pregnancy. Remember though that if you miss a pill or don’t take them at the same time every day, they will not be very effective.
And it’s important to note that the birth control pill does not protect against STIs (sexually transmitted infections). Using a barrier method, like a condom, is a good way to reduce the risk of STI transmission while on a hormonal method like the pill.
