My period has been late 2 times. Could there be something wrong?

Thanks for asking!

It is hard to know exactly what might be going on, but we can clear a few things up for you!

Sometimes a person naturally has an irregular cycle, also, someone’s period can actually fluctuate based on what’s going on in their life.  This means that stress, sickness, change in physical activity, can all contribute to a change of someone’s period.

If you are concerned about pregnancy, you can take a pregnancy test at least 14 days after the most recent sexual contact to get an accurate result.

Also, some people start a birth control method to help regulate their periods. If you want to discuss options to regulate your period, or if you have more questions you can give Teen Clinic a call to make an appointment at 303-442-5160
